21 marca obchodzony jest Międzynarodowy Dzień Lasów, którego głównym organizatorem jest Organizacja Narodów Zjednoczonych ds. Wyżywienia i Rolnictwa (FAO). Od 2012 r. dzień ten obchodzony jest na całym świecie. Tegoroczny temat przewodni Międzynarodowego Dnia Lasów to „Lasy i innowacje: nowe rozwiązania dla lepszego świata”.
